My yumi is a nami sun 221cm and 10 kilos. 🔹馬具が和式で木造の鞍と江戸時代の鐙がとても素敵と思います🐴 お馬さんが紅葉台の木曽馬牧場さんのえびす君です。 The horse tack (bagu) is Japanese with a wooden kura (saddle) and Edo period abumi (stirrups)🐴 The horse is Ebisu kun he is a Japanese kisouma an indigenous breed. 🎯Happy Friday!🏹 リカーブアーチェリーやってみた! I tried recurve archery! この間大井町にある、オリンピック前まで期間限定スポーツ施設: スポル にてリカーブアーチェリーやってみました。レッスンもついっててスタッフが丁寧に教えてくれました✨ The other day I had the chance to have my first try at recurve since elementary school when I was in the girl guides (girl scouts). In Ooimachi, Tokyo there is a center that has been set up leading up to the Olympics where you can try many sporting activities. とっても良い体験できたし、当然ですが弓道との違いはたくさん感じました！3回お越しにくると的の距離が少しずつ遠くなる！ I noticed so many differences between archery and kyudo and had an amazing time.  さってどこ始まればいい(笑) 2本目の矢で9点とれたのは狙いの方法が分かりやすかったです。個人的に弓道の狙いはなや見所です。アーチェリー片目閉じて、弓道両目開けたまま引きます。 So where do I begin? I shot a 9? on my second arrow. Aiming for the target using a sight was straightforward and allowed me to hit where I wanted to. In kyudo the aim depends on several factors and oftentimes the arrow doesn't go where you think it will. 足ぶみ?体制？が分かりやすかったで自然でした。また、好きな服を着て大丈夫というのは女子としてちょっと嬉しいです。 The footing/ stance was straightforward which was really great. Also I liked that its ok to shoot in the clothes I'm comfortable in too.  引くときの動作が四半的弓道と似てて自然でした。アンカーポイントも似てました。リリースは少しわからなかった。 The draw was similar to the kyujutsu ｢shihan mato kyudo｣ that I practice. The anchor points are very similar and I got the hang pretty quickly. Release, there were no finger hammocks? at this range so the bow swing on release sort of didn't happen. 防具、弓具が面白かった! 弓もより短く力加減が良くて。違和感が矢をつがえるとき、内側にノックして引く事、、弓道ですと外側で、最初は不思議でした！ The equipment was of course very different and so interesting. The feel of a shorter and asymmetric bow was natural and the draw felt the same strength from start to finish. Nocking the arrows on the side of the bow closest to me was a little weird the first couple of times.  とにかく狙いわかったらすぐにご機嫌で引けたのはさすがアーチェリーだねと思いました。アーチェリーは続きます！目指せ30m的! アーチェリーの方にリスペクトです。素晴らしいスポーツ✨ Once I figured out how to line up the sight to the target on the second arrow I was away and happily shooting. I hope I can continue and eventually shoot 30m or more! Respect to archers everywhere! What an awesome sport.

Happy Sunday💜 木曽馬とコミュニケーション:私の経験 Talking about my experiences communication with kiso horses 投稿してる写真が和式馬術の稽古からです。馬さんはえびす君です🐴背中が痒いのだ!! 背中かくと気持ち良さそうーな顔をします。スワイプすると色んな顔あります😂 Photos from my washikibajutsu Japanese riding practice the other day. This is Ebisu🐴 He loves his back scratched!! Swipe for lots of horse faces that show he is feeling good😂 えびす君は木曽馬、和種馬です。木曽馬は丈夫で働きもので、温和で従順な性格を持つ。 He is a Kiso horse or Kisouma, one of eight indigenous breeds recognised in Japan. Kisouma are well known for their hard working no nonsense attitude, their good memory and even temperament. 稽古始まる前に馬のブラッシング、手入れ、話し合う時間があります。その時間が大切数週間ぶりの再開になってくると久しぶりにお友達に会うと同じように話すことがたくさんあります(笑) Before starting our practice we have grooming time, and time to talk to our horses. This time is important as usually it's been a few weeks likely since I last rode Ebisu and we need to catch up. 鼻先から尻尾まで、耳から足先までからだの状態を確認できる時間であって、スキンシップ、コミュニケーションとる時間でもあります。ブラッシングしながら、お互い知り合う、信頼関係深める機会になります。 Brushing time is important as it's the time to look over the horse from nose to tail, ears to hooves to see if anything is amiss. Over time brushing helps the horse to learn that your touch is positive. It's relaxing and stimulates their muscles and is a great bonding activity. 馬は気持ちを表現する事が上手と思います。コミュニケーションとるがめ、馬のボディーランゲージを知る事が重要。ボディーランゲージが読み取るようになったら、乗ってる時でも、乗ってない時でも大分違います！ I think too that horses are very good at communicating their needs and feelings. At first reading their body language can be tricky but once you learn to interpret their actions and follow through and communicate with them a bit it makes a huge difference both in and out of the saddle.  自分の経験から話すと馬からの好きという表現は色んな形で現れます。手がないぶんには頭をよせることや、鼻先でツンツン、顔に息をする、なめたり、首を使って抱き締めることとか💜 In my experience I think sharing body contact is one of the main ways horses share affection. As they don't have hands to hold or arms to give hugs, they give gentle leans and even neck hugs to show you that they trust you💜

🎋Make a wish! 七夕ですね, 願い事はなんですか? Today is Tanabata, what will you wish for? マタリキご存じですか? Do you know Matariki? 七夕の時期から少しずつ浴衣でお出掛けになる方見かけ始めます😊今回は浴衣の写真投稿します ⛩️大宮にある氷川神社周辺で写真とってます👘この模様: 矢絣がとても好きで、こちらの浴衣はまたメルカリで見つけました✨ Tanabata 七夕 also known as the Star Festival 星祭り has it's origins in the Chinese Qixi Festival. It's around this time that you may see people out and about in yukata, so I posted a picture in yukata too👘 I really like this traditional pattern called yagasuri🏹 Tanabata celebrates the meeting of deities called Orihime and Hikoboshi. According to legend, the Milky Way separates these lovers, and they are allowed to meet only once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month of the lunisolar calendar.  Photo 3,4,5 短冊書くこと、子供はやはり好きですよね☺️皆さんの願い事はなんですか？ We celebrate this day by writing wishes, or poetry on rectangular paper called tanzaku 短冊 and hanging them on bamboo branches with other decorations🎋  🇳🇿ニュージーランドでは｢マタリキ｣という似たような星祭あります。時期的にも似てます。マタリキは先住民マオリ族のお正月です✨ 🇳🇿Interestingly, New Zealand has their own star festival held at a similar time called ｢Matariki｣ which marks the Māori New Year. It's a time of renewal and celebration✨ マタリキとはマオリの言葉でおうし座のプレアデス星団のことで、日本では昴と呼ばれるこの星団が北東の空に昇った直後の新月をマオリ社会の新年と定めているためです。 Matariki is the Māori name for the Pleiades star cluster. It rises during Pipiri (June/July).
