🎋Make a wish! 七夕ですね, 願い事はなんですか? Today is Tanabata, what will you wish for? マタリキご存じですか? Do you know Matariki? 七夕の時期から少しずつ浴衣でお出掛けになる方見かけ始めます😊今回は浴衣の写真投稿します ⛩️大宮にある氷川神社周辺で写真とってます👘この模様: 矢絣がとても好きで、こちらの浴衣はまたメルカリで見つけました✨ Tanabata 七夕 also known as the Star Festival 星祭り has it's origins in the Chinese Qixi Festival. It's around this time that you may see people out and about in yukata, so I posted a picture in yukata too👘 I really like this traditional pattern called yagasuri🏹 Tanabata celebrates the meeting of deities called Orihime and Hikoboshi. According to legend, the Milky Way separates these lovers, and they are allowed to meet only once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month of the lunisolar calendar.  Photo 3,4,5 短冊書くこと、子供はやはり好きですよね☺️皆さんの願い事はなんですか？ We celebrate this day by writing wishes, or poetry on rectangular paper called tanzaku 短冊 and hanging them on bamboo branches with other decorations🎋  🇳🇿ニュージーランドでは｢マタリキ｣という似たような星祭あります。時期的にも似てます。マタリキは先住民マオリ族のお正月です✨ 🇳🇿Interestingly, New Zealand has their own star festival held at a similar time called ｢Matariki｣ which marks the Māori New Year. It's a time of renewal and celebration✨ マタリキとはマオリの言葉でおうし座のプレアデス星団のことで、日本では昴と呼ばれるこの星団が北東の空に昇った直後の新月をマオリ社会の新年と定めているためです。 Matariki is the Māori name for the Pleiades star cluster. It rises during Pipiri (June/July). Happy Wednesday💜 和弓の話 Talking about the yumi or asymmetric Japanese bow 📌アーチェリー関係のフォロワーさんによるリクエスト。リクエストは気軽にどうぞ! 専門家ではありませんが、質問に答えるよう頑張ります。 📌This was a request from an archery related follower. Please feel free to request topics! I'm not an expert but I will do my best to answer your questions. 🔹弓と和弓は日本独自の非対称弓です。 🔹Yumi (弓) means bow in Japanese. In Japan the wakyu (和弓) is an asymmetric Japanese bow. 📌写真2枚目和弓左から 大弓、流鏑馬、弓術、弓道に使われてます。半弓、四半弓、そして短弓、楊弓など 📌Photo 2 The daikyu (大弓) is used for yabusame, kyujitsu and kyudo There are smaller hankyu (半弓) and shihankyu (四半弓) There are tankyu (短弓) which are smaller again such as yokyu(楊弓) 🔹もちろん一部一部名前はちゃんとあります😊写真4,5,6枚で確認できます 🔹Each part of the bow has a specific name and you can see those names in photos 4, 5 and 6  📌弓はなぜ非対称の作りか?考え色々あります。 戦時、歩兵は身を屈めながら、身分ある武士は騎乗で弓を引くため、下が長いと地面、あるいは馬に弓が当るため邪魔になる。そのため真ん中より下部を握るようになった。 📌In terms of theories for the bow asymmetry there are many floating around. Traditionally used on horseback or when kneeling the shorter lower limbs were meant to provide clearance 📌竹の自然の形によって、一部がより柔らかくて短いので、弓は結果的にそうなったっと。 📌Some say the asymmetrical design was due to the top of the bamboo plant often being smaller and softer than the bottom. 📌非対称の弓は会の一番引いてる状態に入ってるとよりパワーがでるといいます。 📌Asymmetrical design allows for greater draw length for more power - kyudo always draws past the ears. 📌弓持って引く所が、振動ノードにあります。反動による振動を避けるために、持つ場所が弓の4分の3にあります。 📌The grip point of the bow is at a vibrational node of the bow - The grip is right there at a 3/4 point to avoid vibration from the recoil. 来週はリカーブ弓を引く機械がありますので、引き比べできたらと思います😊 Next week I'm doing to do some asymmetric recurve archery and hopefully compare and let you know the differences😊

Happy Sunday🎯 📌初心の話 📌Talking about shoshin or the beginners mind ｢Photos Koji Okuno @kyudophotograph｣ *写真家 奥野浩次 🏹初段受かったばっかりにとってくだった、初めての弓道関係撮影でした。初めて購入した袴、道着、矢などが懐かしく感じます。 These photos were taken just after I had passed shodan. This was the first kyudo related photo shoot I had ever done😂 I'm wearing the first hakama, dougi, arrows etc I ever bought✨ 🔹初心の話し 🔹Talking about shoshin or the beginners mind or　heart 初心者🔰という日本語は皆様ご存じかと思いますが、｢初心｣はどうでしょうか? Shoshinsha is a word meaning beginner in Japanese. If we take the first two kanji it becomes ｢sho初 shin心｣. 私にとって｢初心｣というのは新しい事受け入れる、素直な心、意気込み、熱心、のりの良さ。経験が重ねていってもその心を持ち続ける。そうすると成長や進歩に繋がるかと思います。 For me this word means having an attitude, a mindset of openness, eagerness, a lack of preconceptions even when gaining experience and becoming advanced, its remembering that openness. This is what helps us to grow and develop. 日常生活も稽古中も初心の心持ちがあると人として成長続けていく。 先輩や先生のアドバイス、自分と違う考え方と向き合う、失敗や｢変化｣推移を受け入れ、進化や進歩に繋がる。 I find that shoshin in the dojo and in my everyday life help me to grow. For me it means taking in others advice and help, and learning from others. Listening to other peoples points of view. Being open to change, and making mistakes. 初心を持つ方は可能性がたくさん✨ In the beginners mind there are many possibilities✨
