Happy Sunday✨ 🎯四半的: 竹矢の話 🎯Shihan mato: precious bamboo arrows 🔹先日ご縁があって四半的用の竹矢3本手に入りました。長さそれぞれですが 1.3mほど。シャフトがとーても細くて美しいです。先生が稽古に持ってきて、状態を確認して、引いてみようっと! The other day I got 3 bamboo arrows. They are shihan mato arrows and are 1.36 meters long! So long and the shaft so skinny. Sensei suggested I bring them to practice so he could check them for me. If they were usable then I could shoot them! 🔹発祥時代約400年前では竹の弓矢が通常でしたが現在の四半的ではカーボンやグラスの弓、カーボンの矢が一般的。 400 years back when shihan mato first started there were only bamboo bows and arrows. Now in modern shihan mato we use carbon or fibreglass bows and carbon or aluminum arrows.  🔹そのわけとは四半的用の弓矢職人が年に減り現在存在しておりません。 The reason for this is the specialised artesian who made bows and arrows up until recently no longer makes them. 🔹竹矢3本は手に入ったこと本当に奇跡と思ってずっと大切にします。記念として引いてる姿を写真にな残せてもらいました✨ I feel very lucky I am able to have these 3 arrows and will treasure them forever. I shoot two of the arrows once to commemorate receiving them. 🔹初引きでとってもドキドキしました！シャフトが細くて、、矢飛びは予想できてないところで緊張しましたが、うまく引けた！きれいに飛んだ✨歴史的、大切な矢は引けて嬉しかった✨ The photos you see are me shooting the arrows. I was very nervous, such skinny shafts I wasn't sure how well they would fly weigh-wise, and if course I didn't want to break them. Both hit the target and it was a special experience for me. I feel appreciative that I have a special part of history with me. ---------- 四半的弓道の話 Talking about shihanmato kyudo ---------- 📌宮崎県から約400年前広まった弓術。四半的弓道は一般の人が引く弓として広まった。 📌Shihanmato kyudo started in Miyazaki ken about 400 years ago. This type of archery was for the non-samurai/regular people! 📌八節あります。左利きの弓はあり、畳に座ったまま弓引きますので椅子も車イスも大丈夫。私服で大丈夫。 📌的まで8.2m 矢長さ1.36m 口割り/頬付けがあごの方にあります。ゆがけを使わない、ピンチ式で弓引きます✨滑らないよう、矢はずに滑り止めついてます。 📌It's 8.2m to the target and the arrows are 1.36m long! My yumi is a nami sun 221cm and 10 kilos. 🔹馬具が和式で木造の鞍と江戸時代の鐙がとても素敵と思います🐴 お馬さんが紅葉台の木曽馬牧場さんのえびす君です。 The horse tack (bagu) is Japanese with a wooden kura (saddle) and Edo period abumi (stirrups)🐴 The horse is Ebisu kun he is a Japanese kisouma an indigenous breed. He lives at Kouyodai Horse Ranch in Yamanashi. Happy Monday💙 気持ちを表す: 弓道の礼と揖(ゆう)の話し Talking about bowing in kyudo: yu and rei  🔹Do you bow during your keiko? Tell me about it in the comments. 礼で始まる、礼で終わるっという、世界的に流行してる言葉。武道の魅力をひとつと思います。弓道も同じです。お稽古始まる前、終わったあとのご挨拶含めて礼します。 As you may already know in budo or martial arts here in Japan the act of bowing is very important. We start with a bow and end with a bow. Kyudo does too. Bowing connects your heart, your body and your mind and shows how you feel. 🔹There are several types of bows in kyudo. This time I will talk about yu and rutsu rei. 🔹お稽古開始のご挨拶ですが、道場によって「礼、揖(ゆう)、拍手」のパターンが色々あります。国国旗向かって行う、道場設立者の写真向かって行うなど場所によって違います。 🔹Greeting our dojo members and teachers before we start keiko, on finishing bowing again and thanking them before departing is part of the keiko as a whole. Dojo to dojo the method of greeting/ aisatsu 挨拶 is different and it's helpful to have someone show you before you attempt it. On occasion at dojos founded by specific people we bow to the photo of the founder of the dojo, to photos of teachers and clap and bow. 🔹射所入る時、出る時、射行う前的向かって気持ち込めて礼または揖します。 🔹During practice we bow before starting our shooting too. Photos 1 and 2 show bowing upon finishing taihai (there are no arrows in my hands). The bow tip must stay 10cm above the ground during this time. 🔹立礼 礼も、大切な基本動作の一つです。弓道では、心正しく身を修むるは礼の本なり、と言われるくらい、礼は相手に対しての心の形に表すものです。形だけのものは礼になりません。45度で行います 🔹About ritsu rei (standing rei) It's a bow of 45 degrees. I will perform this bow everytime I practice at my dojo. When bowing holding a bow and arrow, my bow tip stays 10cm off the floor, the arrows in my right hand stay at the same angle as I bow 45 degrees. This is a lot trickier than it looks! 🔹揖(ゆう) 弓射を行う場合、定めの座の礼と同様の気持ちで、本座における最初の揖は｢お願い致します｣｢只今から演武させていただきます｣、終わったときの本座の揖は｢有り難うございました｣｢無事終わりました｣と感謝の気持ちをもって行うことが望ましい。 場および的との結びつきもこの時さらに定まる。 🔹Yu shown in photos We bow about 10cm deep bending from our hips. I think yu is a tribute to the beginning and end of the shooting, it expresses gratitude, it asks permission before shooting,  it connects the archer to the shooting area and the target.
